Poems (Day Two)
[Astigmatism]
exodus from a family gathering
highway travel seems so isolating
desperately reading to the next chapter
the street lamps' dim, blurry glow always seems to fade out right as you find your place
the darkness seems like it will last forever
exodus from a family
highway travel is so isolating
desperately reading highway signs
the astigmatic glow of the turn signals surrounds you, warms you
the darkness is only temporary
[Mobius]
Radio waves broadcast out, yet no antenna's in tune to receive it
Does it still exert any sound?
Or does the message loop back to repeat and repeat it
Dog walks into the forest, how many miles before he eats it?
Only halfway the reaper wagers
Rest of the journey pavlov merely repeats it
The mighty worm Trefonas chases an apple until the end achievement
Ouroboros isn’t so lucky
He’s doomed to repeat and repeat it
[Metal]
The metal that sheathes can cauterize
The metal that slices can stick when cold
The same metal that can pick out shrapnel
Can be used to implant more
Melt down, recast, rekindled
Pair back with an old flame
Meltdown again, repurposed
I’m made to take the blame
Machmen flood the street in droves
Mind over matter, mill over grain
Leaving the metal out on the stove
The spoon screams out for the dish in pain
Are we all metal?
