26/28- Ode to the traveller
Oblique Strategy: Balance the consistency principle with the inconsistency principle
26- Ode to the Traveller
Every hug between us leaves me gasping for air
Desperate to taste more of that oxygen we share
An hour, a mile, a foot, an inch
Closer yet closer, you're a dream I can pinch
Rolling down the dead end street I had once resigned myself to life in
Pluck me out of the peril and pain and stress, away from the striking and strife and
Grant me the kiss of life from your hungry lips
Heart once struggling to beat now doing aerobics and flips
...
Distance makes the heart grow fonder, is that what they say?
Even with the extra space I still love you more and more each day
And if the mileage grows too, well, I'll still find a way
You're worth every extra step and every cent of gas I pay
So seek me out, darling
And i'll seek you out as well
If we can't meet at the traveller
There's a million places my heart may swell
No matter how long it takes
How long we feel pinned
We'll reach such great heights
And the moon will sing
