Sometimes it feels like i'm lost in a shadow of a shadowbox
With another shadowed box within because every set needs a piece
Others tell me to try to see the bigger picture and take a step back
But I just keep falling deeper in
The outline eludes me like the projects that keep piling up
The frame opening up from the seams
Eating me whole like an unfinished metaphor
Swallowing me with ease
Until i'm tucked into the corner of the box
within a box

A house with no windows
Smaller yet smaller
Shrinking in fur
ther is no more
room left
