10/28- ATGGGAA
Oblique Strategy: In a very large room, very quietly.
10- ATGGGAA
In a small patch of soil
On the ground
Under a tree
Across from the bathrooms
In the campsite closest to the dining hall
In the oldest of three joint summer camps
On a reservation
On the border of Connecticut and Rhode Island
(But the location isn't too important, this scenario is very common)
There sits a mushroom the size of a basketball
Awe, wonder, slight disgust
The earthy roots it sprung from
The moss and mulch and mycelium
Gross to me, at least,
But then again I must remember
This is not for me.
A thought that would seem off-putting given any other context
But no, everything has it's place somewhere after all
Leaves of three might not be for me
But the goat will be quite pleased
The mushroom will make a feast for a deer
As it enriches and nurtures the soil
And the soil will grow such beautiful flowers
Those flowers will be just what the rabbit needs
And that rabbit will feed the bear
Which in turn will feed the hunter
Everything has its place
And everything has its own meal
In summation
Nature is everywhere
